How do i get out of having my c.d.l. hanging over my head ?

i am applying for a new job, and it says that they would prefer the person they hire have a c.d.l to drive a buss. well i think i have a real good chance of geting the job, but i dont want any thing to do with my c.d.l. i dont believe in random drug screens, they dont pay you any more money and i feel like i lose some of my freedom. what should i do ? who wants that added responcability out on the highway ? sorry about the spelling.
