I want to sew matching arm warmers? (Not knit)!?

Okay, I'm a big fashionista rebel! I do all sorts of insane fashion trends and people just google eye me (feels kind of nice you know!) So I found a awesome hoodie that my mom doesn't wear anymore! So I took a chance and made it a SLEEVELESS hoodie (meaning I can wear a long sleeve shirt underneath it and the sleeve of the shirt pokes out!) and I'm thinking of sewing the cut off sleeves into matching little arm warmers (Cool huh?). So my arms are kinda thin, like 2 3/4 inches across, meaning one sleeve can be two arm warmers for me! So any extra ideas?
