Introducing a new cat..please advise?

I have a two year old female main coon. She is very spoiled and i just love her. A year ago my mom brought home another kitten.(dinky). She is the sweetest thing. My main coon growled hissed, was just plain nasty to the kittin for awhile now they love each other. It's odd but our main coon was very nasty to us like she was angry at first..Then last month we lost our house to a fire. We moved into a pretty big house and my brother brought another female cat home. She was a stray at his job. Took her to the vet she is very healthy they did many tests on her. We take her home..my dinky tried to just go up to her and the new cat growled and hissed, everytime she was around...Is this normal? and forget my main coon, she is just plain NASTY to this cat and once again punishing us by being bitchy lol. They are all female, is that bad? what can I do to make them get a long better? any advise? is all this normal?
