Best tree for wood to build boat?

It all depends on what sort of boat you want to build.Obviously you are not an experienced shipwright.Different woods are used for Frames,Keel,Planks,etc.I suggest you go to the library and get a book on the subject.or take a course on it.Even a"sturdy little boat" needs to be designed and built properly,to ensure it is fit for Lake/River/Sea.Each having different design criterea.Good Luck
